Wellness - Triton Regional School District

Updating the Triton Regional School District's Wellness Policy in 2022-2023

In 2022 - 2023 Triton Regional School District participated in a state-wide school wellness coaching program. This program paired districts and schools with a School Wellness Coach from The John C. Stalker Institute of Food and Nutrition at Framingham State University to provide technical assistance with:

Wellness policy assessment and updates to meet both state and federal requirements
Action planning
Prioritizing and implementing wellness initiatives
Monitoring and evaluating results

The result of this collaboration was two-fold. It provided Triton Regional School District with a basic assessment of where it stood on various wellness based standards (WelSAT) , and served as a valuable resource in developing our new Wellness Policy (here).

Staff Wellness

We value you our staff at Triton. In 2022-2023 we will be working with MIIA to bring wellness activities to staff as well as create wellness spaces in our buildings thanks to the generous grant money from MIIA. SES was first on the list.

"Fall into Wellness"

We did it! On Sunday, October 2, 2022, over 200 of you, from the Triton community came together for a wonderful event where we learned about nutrition, activity and mental health. Thank you to all who participated!
