Social Emotional Learning Across the District

Triton Regional School District is committed to the development of students as a whole person. We value social emotional learning and embed this learning in all that we do.

CASEL is the leader in SEL. We utilize the CASEL model to determine interventions.

Take a look and see what is happening across the district to support our students.

Elementary & Middle School

In the elementary and middle schools our students work with the Botvin Life Skills Training Curriculum. This curriculum is aligned to National Health Education Standards, CASEL, and Common Core ELA. There is a focus on substance use prevention as well as CASEL themes such as self awareness and relationship skills.

High School

Beginning in the fall of 2022 the freshman class will have the opportunity to take a mental health literacy class through the Mental Health Collaborative (MHC). According to MHC, mental health literacy is the knowledge and understanding that helps us become responsible, effective and successful in living full and healthy lives. With good mental literacy we learn how to take better care of ourselves, our loved ones, and our communities.
