As a regional school district serving students in kindergarten through grade 12, Triton operates under Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 71, §§ 14–16, and the accompanying regulations at 603 CMR 41.00, issued by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

Under these laws, a regional agreement governs the district, defines its membership, and sets out how the annual financial assessment is shared among the member communities. Each year, the School Committee and Administration carry out a thorough budget development process, and the resulting spending plan is presented to the member towns for approval at their annual Town Meetings.

Day-to-day management of the District rests with the Superintendent and the District leadership team. The Finance & Operations Department oversees procurement, accounts payable/ receivable, personnel, human resources and benefits, facilities and maintenance, safety, transportation, and food services.
