Science is, by its nature, a creative human endeavor. Scientific and technical innovations are advanced through processes that build on previous knowledge and the application

of theory to real world situations. Modern societal and environmental challenges require new and creative scientific and technical approaches, as well as investigations that are more cross-disciplinary.

In 2017, Triton adopted two new programs to address the 2016 MA Science, Technology & Engineering (STE) Standards in grades K-8. Students in K-2 learn engage in science through the use of Inspire by McGraw Hill (Need Access). Students in grades 3-8 work with STEMscopes (Need Access), an entirely online, hands-on curriculum.

The Science Department offers a variety of courses to stimulate the natural curiosity of students.
