How do we apply?

Fill out Interest Form during Open Enrollment

How many days per week is the program and is there flexibility as to how many days you enroll your child?

Our programs are both part and full time.

Offerings to attend include 2, 3, 4 half days or 5 full days.

What programs are available for children identified with special needs?

Our district has integrated preschool classrooms and specialized programs.

Related services are provided based on Individualized Education Plans

Do you offer daycare including before and after care and 5 full days of preschool?

We offer 5 full days for children that are 4 by August 31st by the start of the school year.

We do not offer extended day care at the preschool level.


Do you have to re-submit an interest form each year that you are on the waiting list?

Yes

What do you do if you suspect your child might have special needs?

All enrolled preschool students are offered a preschool screening in the spring prior to beginning preschool.  This screening helps to determine any area of need that may need further assessment.  Any additional questions, please contact our Coordinator of Early Childhood if you have questions about early intervention referrals.

Is transportation offered for preschool?

We do not offer transportation for community enrolled children.

Does a child have to be toilet trained to be enrolled at Triton Regional Preschool Programs?

No

If a child is currently at Triton Regional Preschool Programs, does a sibling automatically get in?

No, an Interest Form/Registration Online needs to be filled out for every child applying.

How and when will I know if my child has a slot at Triton Regional Preschool Programs?

Families will receive an email once Open Enrollment closes in March indicating if your child has a slot.

What is the teacher/child ratio in the integrated classrooms and how big are the classes?

Our teacher/child ratio does not exceed 1/10 and we attempt to cap all classes at 15 students.

What time is dismissal on Early Release Days?

Preschool is dismissed at 11:15 on all early release days

What do I do if my child is sick?

Call the school to report an absence

Can I go directly to my child's classroom if I will be visiting school?

Please check in at the school office for a visitor pass before going down to a classroom.

What should I do if my child needs to take medication during the school day?

Please contact the school nurse to arrange medication for your child.

How can I find out if school will be closed or delayed due to inclement weather?

Triton Regional Preschools follow the same procedures as the regular school and school closures are announced via an all call from the Central Office and on local news.
